CASE STUDY #1
Narrowing the definition means clarity, focus and growth potential
Specialty Surgical Equipment (SSE) was challenged to grow its revenues and had to decide on the best approach for doing this in the next three to five years. Ella led the company through a process, to help them clarify and define what is the key success factor in their business today, before they move on to further expansion. Through a series of facilitated workshops, the management team identified the purchasing behavior of their most profitable and consistent customers as well as the advantage they had developed through their unique supply chain for materials and equipment. These advantages were formulated into a strategy statement for their current business. From this newly found position of clarity, the team drove to the next two levels of strategic and tactical imperatives, which directly support the company’s business today. The clarified strategic statement is now used by the management team as a baseline for evaluation of revenue growth and diversification opportunities.
